Over 95 percent of the SetiaCity Mall located in Bandar Setia Alam, Shah Alam is now leased out, although the mall will only open to the public in May, said Daniel Steffe, Marketing Director at Setia City Mall.

"Being a neighbourhood mall, we received plenty of feedback from residents in the area through Facebook and Twitter. From the feedback, we gave leases to tenants that met our criteria. Like any other shopping centre, Setia City Mall will open from 10AM to 10PM daily," he noted.

Setia City Mall employs green initiatives such as energy-efficient lifts and escalators, natural daylight in the car park and concourse, an integrated building energy management system and high-efficiency air conditioning.

It also saves up to 20 percent of water with rain harvesting used for low-emissivity glazing, bio-composting of organic food waste, bicycle parking bays and landscape irrigation.

The mall will offer a broad range of amenities that include Parkson outlets, Golden Screen Cinema's nine-screen cinema, Zara, Harvey Norman, Courts, a Fitness First gymnasium and a Wangsa Bowl alley. It will also provide around 2,700 parking bays.

A children's park is located at the ground floor near Delicious, Starbucks, TGIF and Carl's Junior outlets while a karaoke outlet is planned.

"It would be great if all the outlets open at the same time. Retailers lease each lot from RM6 to RM30 per square foot depending on the area they are situated," said Robert Spinks, Development Director at Setia City Mall.

The RM450 million Setia City Mall, a 50:50 joint venture (JV) project between S P Setia and Lend Lease, received the Green Mark Gold Award from the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).
